Our Story
Founded in 2003 by Les Engen, Paradise Fireworks started as a small, home-grown business near Regina, Saskatchewan. With a passion for pyrotechnics and a commitment to excellence, we quickly grew into the largest fireworks display group in the province. From the very beginning, we’ve specialized in creating mesmerizing pyromusicals—an intricate fusion of fireworks and music.
Paradise Fireworks traces its roots back to small town Saskatchewan and a young boys fascination with firecrackers. Over the years since childhood Les went to many many fireworks shows and was wanting more. In 2003, on a trip to the US for July 4 th celebrations, Les discovered that something more in a pyromusical show. He came back to Canada and immediately began researching, learning and starting a new company for the very purpose of pyromusical firework displays.
After all this training and certifications, again in even smaller town SK, at a church 100 anniversary celebration, his first fireworks show set to music was well received by all. Audiences LOVED the pyromusicals and each year the requests for shows have grown and clients get us back year after year. The goal of each show is simple – make sure everybody leaves with wow moments they will remember forever.

At Paradise Fireworks, we believe in continual improvement. Each year, we strive to push the boundaries of pyrotechnics by incorporating new
products, ideas, and innovations into our shows. Despite facing challenges such as inflation and rising costs, we’ve remained dedicated to delivering exceptional fireworks displays without compromising quality. Our team’s dedication to safety is paramount, and we’re proud to have had no major injuries or incidents in our two decades of operation.
In 2004, Les took the initiative to travel to New Hampshire to receive professional training in digital firing systems. This investment set us apart as one of the few companies in Canada with the knowledge, equipment, and expertise to design and execute true pyromusicals. Les and numerous members of his staff have travelled to China in the heart of fireworks country, to learn more about the industry. Les had the opportunity to collaborate with factory’s owner & distributor to design unique elements of the fireworks that are now main stream products available in Canada.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, from small towns and First Nations to major casinos and high-profile events. We’ve averaged 35-45+ shows annually, including multiple displays on the same day—such as the 9-12 shows we provide each year on July 1st. Our long-standing relationships with clients like SIGA (Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority), the City of Regina, Lloydminister and numerous First Nations communities have helped solidify our reputation as a trusted and reliable fireworks provider.
Our team of experienced shooters and assistants are fully registered with the ERD (Explosives Regulatory Division), and we take pride in the professionalism and expertise they bring to every event. Whether it’s a wedding, a community celebration, or a large-scale corporate event, Paradise Fireworks is ready to deliver an unforgettable show.
